Tangles

This light work was born out of Lucy’s reflections on the Covid- 19 pandemic in 2020. Tangles expresses the uplifting clarity that can emerge out of a maelstrom of emotions and confusion.

Using words gathered from a call out to the local communities, the work expresses the hopes for the future, inspiring reflection and positivity. Using the warmth of white fairy lights which evokes a sense of joy and happiness.

The light work was shown in the window of a bar in the town, a bar that was closed due to the pandemic, and was enjoyed by many passersby.
