This was Choreographer, Wayne McGregors first three Act ballet for The Royal Ballet, inspired by the writings of Virginia Woolf, with an original score by Max Richter. Lucy created visceral and stunning Lighting designs, collaborating with 3 different set designers for each of the 3 Acts. Emotive and sculptural environments for Act 1, darkly spectral laser environments for Act 2 and a subtle and evolving world, supporting the exquisite projections of Act 3. This ballet gained outstanding critical acclaim, and won the Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production. Each of the three Acts is based on a different Virginia Woolf book, Mrs Dalloway, Orlando and The Waves and use elements from her letters, essays and diaries as additional sources material. It was subsequently performed at La Scala, Milan and continues to be presented in the rep at The Royal Opera House.
