L’Anatomie de la Sensation – Paris Opera Ballet

This production was inspired by the paintings of Francis Bacon and his life. The creative team immersed themselves in Bacon’s work and the music piece by Mark Anthony Turnage ‘ Blood on the Floor’ that was also inspired by Bacons paintings.

For this production Lucy created bespoke lighting filters in collaboration with LEE Filters, trying to match the unusual colour pigment that Bacon used, and recreate them as light colours.  Some of these lighting filters can still be found in the LEE Filter range, such as 511 – Bacon Brown, 512 – Amber Delight, 513 Ice and a Slice, 514 – Double G & T.
